The message of Vladimir Putin reads, in part:
“These past years have been a period of economic and social upsurge for the region, which has eventually become a major research and cultural center. I am pleased to say that you are building up on the potential that was created by those before you. Siberians have always been hardworking people with strong business acumen. This explains the success of the large-scale initiatives that are being implemented in the region to support business activity, produce high value-added products and create new modern jobs. You are also making good use of the region’s opportunities as a Siberian transport hub to expand interregional and international ties.”
