Putin attended the opening ceremony of World Judo Championship

Vladimir Putin attended competitions at the 2017 World Judo Championships, which opened in Budapest.

Together with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the opening ceremony of 2017 World Judo Championship were Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban and President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga.


The championship is taking place on August 28-September 3. The competition program includes 7 disciplines for men and women in the different weight categories, and team competitions. A total 795 athletes from 134 countries will take part, including Russia’s 30-strong team.
