Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, who has come to Russia on a two-day official visit. The main talks are scheduled for July 4.

During the top-level talks the parties are expected to discuss a whole range of issues pertaining to comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between Russia and China as well as current international and regional problems. Following the talks, a number of bilateral documents will be signed.
