Putin will hold a meeting of the Council for Civil Society

The Council members will brief the President on their work over the last year, outline future directions for work, and discuss a number of key issues, including humanizing migration policy, preventing juvenile delinquency, and protecting citizens environmental rights.

Russian President will also award the State prizes for outstanding achievements in charity and human rights work.

These prizes were established in 2016 and this is the first time they are being awarded. The winner of the State Prize for human rights activity is Yelizaveta Glinka, executive director of the Spravedlivaya Pomoshch [Fair Aid] International Public Organization.

The winner of the State Prize for charity work is Alexander Tkachenko, general director of ANO Children’s Hospice.

The same day, Mr Putin will meet with President of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Tigran Sargsyan to exchange views on current matters on the Eurasian integration agenda and to discuss the agenda for the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council’s meeting to be held in St. Petersburg on December 26.
